Setting a New Course? A Practical Discussion about Migration and the Bible

Abstract That stories of migration are found in the Bible is not a debate, although meaning to be taken from presence such ambiguous. Notably, writing recent theologians on emphasizes response migration, rather than experience migration. An analysis six articles spanning two decades shows three overlapping themes these writings: identity “stranger,” responsibility help, and hospitality. These linked especially parable (Luke 10:25–37) story judgment (Matthew 25:31–46). In this article, scholarly interpretations brought into conversation with interviews adolescents who have migrated Europe. The explored search normative biblical migrants, but considered light lived religious experiences migrated.
